Edit: Oh buckaroo is that Black port an AGP? I have an old 128 radeon saffire 9250 AGP sitting in my closet, pulled out of my first P4 Prescott to cook itself to death

Decent PSU?

Just about any psu will work. You don't need much, just like a good 200-300W. You will need a AGP or PCI (not express) gpu.

PCI will work?

Yes, I have 2 running right now with PCI cards. I like the PCI better since you can still use them in newer mobos since most (expect for intel's new stuff) still have PCI slots.

Not sure if 1gb PCI cards where made, I'm using a 128mb FX5500 and FX5200. There definitely are AGP 1gb ones, but I think mobos stopped using AGP after Intel's 775 socket.

Here's a link for the motherboard specifications:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=uk&lc=en&docname=c00069442

Looks like this one wont support the later socket A semprons. Best to keep that in mind when trying to find a new CPU. Also looks like this motherboard wont allow any overclocking so best to just try find the quickest 400mhz FSB CPU (3200+).

I would think a newer PCI card with 1GB memory may not get fully utilized due to cpu and ram bottle necking, just a thought, not sure if its valid tongue.gif
