How to setup Foxconn A7DA 3.0 mobo?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I just ordered my Foxconn A7DA 3.0 mobo, phenom 955 BE and 2 sticks of 4gb G.skill ram. I just wanted to ask and seek your wisdom on how to set it up. This is the first time I have need to upgrade my cpu and motherboard.

How do I get the latest BIO's onto the board before the cpu?
Also, I just noticed this G.skill ram isnt listed on the compatible RAM list for the motherboard, should I be safe? Thanks

You can't get the latest BIOS onboard before you install the CPU. It's shouldnt be a problem however, it's highly likely the current BIOS fully supports the PhenomII 955BE. Also most motherboards work fine with far more memory brands than indicated on the compatibility list (they can't test every possible combination), those lists are 'tested' configurations and the manufacturer guarantees those work. But if you are using unsupported ram/cpu, if you attempt to contact the manufacturer for technical support they may refuse to help.

Actaully now I have to go with a micro atx Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P

Not happy mwave . I guess before overclocking I will have to buy some vrm heatsinks. Anyone know any places that sell them in Australia
