If you follow this link to add your system info http://www.overclock.net/specs.php?do=addsystem it will show up in your sig like ours do...

Are you on aftermarket cooling?

these are some basics to get you started. If these are Enabled then it will cause you cpu to downclock when no stress is on it.

Speedstep - Disable
EIST - Disable
C1E - Disable
C-State - Disable

Thanks, it shows up as EIST.
By aftermarket cooling you mean additional? (not the one that came with it?)
I've got thermal paste and scythe mugen II on the processor.

Edit: Seems to work.. so thanks :-]
Will stress test it and then try a higher clock.

Yup, thats what I meant..

Some folks try to OC with the stock one not knowing, so I always check...

Post a few pics of your bios, we need to know what settings are there. Your on a DFI board, they made great boards but they were hard to find for X58 and beyond so not many people here have them...

the D0 is the better, newer stepping with less heat produced, requires less voltages and better overclockablility.

It looks like your core voltage is set too 1.1000 volt. Most DO stepping 920's will do 4.0GHz under 1.30 volts. up your voltagee to 1.30v Lower volts mean less heat. We can work on lowering your voltage later after we hit your target frequency. What speed are you looking to get out of your 920. 3.0GHz? 3.5GHz? 4.0GHz?
