We can work on lowering your voltage later after we hit your target frequency. What speed are you looking to get out of your 920. 3.0GHz? 3.5GHz? 4.0GHz?
Wait, CPU VTT voltage is my Vcore?
Not the CPU VID???
I clocked it to 3.7GHz and it worked fine in the stress test for like 40 minutes, then BSOD with 0XD1.
According to CPU-Z i was right, my Vcore is CPU vid + like 0.02

Your cpu non turbo clock ratio, set that to x21. 920's don't like x20 for some reason.

Also Your CPU VID is measured in Volts (by your BIOS), and your vcore in MilliVolts, so, if you have your CPU VID at 1.35, and your vcore at 20mV, your effective processor voltage is 1.37V. Divide mV by 1000 to get it in Volts. don't worry about your vcore right now we will work with your cpu vid.

I can't set it to 21... The max is 20.. It doesn't let me go any higher.
Edit: Could you add me on skype? Will make it easier.. Wega993

No i'm sorry your vid is your core voltage I read it wrong. I edited my original post.

OK if you hit 3.7GHz for 40 min that's good. go ahead and up your core volts a little.

Thank you, that clarifies a bit. Upped it by 1 step, to 1.875V I think.

What is your memory rated to run at? 1066MHz? 1333MHz? 1600MHz? If your ram is rated to run at 1.65v up it to 1.65. do one thing at a time though. go ahead and up your core volts and see what happens under stress test.

You can see the system spec picture on the first page. It's supposed to be able to run at 1600. It seems to be going just fine now, the stress test going past 56 minutes after i raised V.. My DRAM bus voltage was automatically at 1.65V

Seems like everything works now. Anything else i should try? I'm fine with 3.7 GHz as it's stable.

If you are stable at 3.7GHz at 1.8v you are looking good as far as having a good chip. My 920 will do 3.7 no less than 2.5v its a volt hungry chip lol. Usually going from around 3.8to 4.0GHz will take a lot of volts don't be surprised to go from 1.8 to around 2.5 at 3.9 to 4.0GHz. also because all chips run different and are not created equal. Intel designed the i7 920 to run at VID Voltage Range of 0.800V to1.375V
