Computer Stuttering Help!

Right for some reason over the last few days my computer has begun to stutter, for example when the issue happens if i have Xion open (Music Player) the music will get stuck and repeat the last second or so of what its been playing, like skipping on a CD

Also, Firefox stops responding, now i have uninstalled Xion and reinstalled a new version of Firefox and it still is happening, some times it lasts for a few seconds other times up to 5minutes

The RAM is at like 30-35% and it still does it, though the CPU does some times drop down to 0% on all cores.

I have run Memtest on the RAM and nothing abnormal appeared though it was only ran for a few hours - whats the best length of time to run it? Could it be some program or something with a memory leak? would that show up on things like Resource Manager?

How do i find out if its a Power Supply problem? as i dont have access to any other computers or anything, but the part where the Power cable goes into seems to be a bit "wobbly" as in it moves about but only when i move it, so could be a power supply problem

But i dont want to go out and spend £80+ on a new power supply only to find out that its not the problem is there like a application that monitors the power supply so i can see if it suddenly is dropping power or something?

Currently i think it could be the RAM due to high number of "Hard Faults" yet the MemTest didnt show anything, maybe another longer run of it is required? Another possibility is the Power Supply but i have no way of testing it in someone elses system or anything

Sounds like SATA Drivers. Update or install the ones from the ASUS website. Also check to see if the optical drive is in the right SATA port and not in one of those 6gb/s ports.

Will check the drivers, dont think the port is the problem as they have all been in there current ports for ages and this is a recent problem
