Updating my RIG! - Page 2

The only question is do ypu want AMD3+ (ready for Bulldozer) or an AM3 that is likely to offer a better board for the money?
Oher question is do you want 4 gb of RAM or 8 gb of RAM and will you be overclocking?
What Hearsink do you intent to use? (stock heat sink not satisfactory for more than minor overclock.
Do you need or desire 2 PCIe x16 (8x8 or 16 x 4?).
Brand wise ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, Asrock, or Biostar? Any preference?
870 or 970 motherboards will have no on board video.
An 890gx or 890fx might be your best choice
These are the best "customer rated" motherboards in your price range.
Gigabyte GA 990XA-UD3 AMD3+ ATX $140 shipped
Asus M4A89GTD PRO USB AM3 $148.50 shipped
Gigabyte GA 880GA USD3H ATX AM3 $110 shipped
Asus M487TD EVO AM3 ATX $95 shipped
Biostar A880g+ AMD3 mATX $55 shipped
These are meant as examples, pllease would someone link?
Generally the Gigabyte GA990XA-UD3 AMD3+ would be ideal and the ................ "NEW CUSTOMER10" promotion may still work if you register a new account.
970 would be AMD3+ no on board video, may or may not have VRM heatsink
980 would be AMD3+ mATX with on board video
890,870, 880 same but AMD3
Any name brand memory DDR3/1333 would be fine, I've seen 4 gb (2x2) from $25.
I would go 1600/ cas8 if you could.
Check forums for sale boards (people going SB) but carefully.

An am3 sounds good. I don't think I'll bulldozer it since I just bought a 1090T. And if I feel the need of upgrading it, I guess there'll be a better MOBO to pair it with.
@brass I'll just pick from the list you gave me, thanks a lot!

@ekg yea those looks good. Btw, do I need to reapply any thermal paste on my 1090T? I assembled it the first time and took it out when it didn't work.
