$1200 gaming PC build - Page 11

I still think your overpaying on parts that don't really contribute to the "power" of the build (PSU/CASE). The case especially, and Silverstone is a good company, but I just see that price point fitting into a $1200 build.

I don't want a case I will despise. Lol that's why im being so picky and if I go with a 2gb card ill need a big psi because it requires like a 600w minimum I believe or something close to that. So I went with the extra 20 bucks for a 750w.

I didn’t particularly care for the looks of the Storm Enforcer and despise the name, got it anyways because of price, cable management, and airflow potential. After getting my hands on it and seeing it in person I actually really like it.

My recommendation would to find a computer store where they might have some cases on display and go look at them.

Also tacky comment was directed towards the Antec 902. I had a 900 and hated it, construction was shoddy.

Go to newegg and look at the $75-$100 cases and see what you like, there’s 98 cases in that category there’s at least 1 that you can deal with right?

May want to re-consider case selection... HAF 932 is a bit old.
Also, it's a small detail, but I'm done with Lite On drives. I've had 3 of them and they all died within 2 years with minimal use. :-/

932 is still a great case. LiteOn? you probably have just been unlucky. That is all i buy and never had a fail or issue with one. I still have one that is like 5-6 years old.

My buddy has that case and I used to like it. However, after receiving my 400R last week my opinion has changed. The Corsair 400R is a lot bigger and has more cooling options. I was surprised at the size difference between the two cases. I would check out Corsair's 400/500R. High quality, plenty of room, good cooling, excellent cable management, and a nice look.

Wait if the Lanboy air fits in my budget why not get it? If I can keep it in the $1100 dollar range why not keep the red Lanboy air? Just a question. Other then that I will be using the MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5/OC 2GB. Is there anything else I need to fix? I also will be using the CM Hyper 212 EVO. Also would a 600w PSU be enough to power everything in my PC including the TFII GPU?

600 should be enough, if you want more future proof 750 or 850.

One thing to remember about your Lanboy is the amount of dust that thing will accumulate. Most people dust their systems about once a month. you'll prob have to do it twice. which is fine, but can get old real quick.

Other than that your system looks good. I received an email from newegg about some deals and you can pick up one of the lanboys for just over $100 and some pretty nice deals on memory too. Check your email and you may want to order some of the stuff this weekend.

Lanboy Air $120 with code: EMCJKKC6 there is also a $20 mail in rebate. If you want it get it now! Dosent look like it works with the red case. . .

Ninja Edit:
With a $1200 budget you could get a $300 case if you wanted, we where merely pointing out that more beneficial to put most of your money into components rather than aesthetics. If you save $60,$80, or even $100 on a cheaper case that will allow you to get the next best video card and make it that much more future proof.

Wish I would have bought a 212 EVO now
