Ok because when reading info about the 570 it said I needed a minimum of 650 so I was wondering about those two cards. Also is one better than the other? because I'd like to get the best bang for my buck, which is so overly used. haha

I have read the 6950 is a little better, but I've also read that the 560 Ti is a little better so I don't know which is truely the better card of the two, or if one is better at all.

The battle is also between the Silverstone strider Plus 600w or the CORSAIR TX650 semi-modular PSU.

I would go with the Corsair 650 because I know its a quality PSU and am to lazy to to look the other one up.

I'm running a 750w PSU because I plan to go SLI 570 one of these days.

Also 560TI vs 6950.

I think I will take my chances with the 560 Ti and the Corsair. Seems like a good plan. So I'm also guessing I should get a 2GB card? Will that make things any better if I were to SLI in the future?

Because the 1gb has a super high OC and the 2gb is still pretty good but not the same kind of OC coming stock so which is truely better for my monitor now and/or in the future if I SLI?
For your current monitor either will work. I do remember seeing somewhere that BF3 was using over 1GB of V-Ram but it’s still in beta, I would defiantly get the 2GB card though. Getting the 2GB card will give you allot more headroom if you start to dip into 2D surround or higher resolutions making it much more future proof.

Also will a 600w PSU power everything including a 2GB 6950 or 560 Ti or will I need something bigger?
yes 6950 2GB is better especially after CFX 2X6950 >>> 2X560Ti. You can also unlock 6950 into 6970, or you can just overclock the TFIII Twin Frozr III, it overclocks really well.

Well I mostly play things like WoW, LoL and soon to be SWtOR. I may also play some shooters if it can handle it. Is there any real difference when a game is needing to use more VRAM then you have? Like noticible stutter or lag or anything?
When you run out of v-ram frame rates drop drastically. I experienced it with my old 9800’s with only 512mb v-ram, It would go from 60 to 10/15 right back up to 60.

But with the games you play I don't think there is anything to worry about.

Yeah but I still do want to SLI/Crossfire in the future with higher end games so I will go with the 6950 2GB I think and probably a 750w psu. i will post the current build status in a minute.

I have searched several threads asking about 6950 CFX and many people say 650w is sufficient, but I have yet to actually see anyone that has that setup so I would go with a 750 to allow for room to grow.

Also everyone keeps saying unlock that damn thing and I was wondering does every single 6950 unlock or something? If so why are they locked in the first place? I would think if they where to make a cheaper card than the 6970 they would use cheaper components. . .
