6950 Waterblock question

Thread Starter
I've heard a few stories about the EK nickel 6970 blocks flaking on people..I don't want that to happen especially since this is my first build. I've been looking at the Acetal only version and an XSPC block which is about $15 less.

Which one would be compatible with the reference 6950 backplate?

bump. Anyone know if either of these water blocks will fit with the reference 6950 backplate? I am needing to push an order out tonight. Thanks!

I own the EK-FC6970-Acetal waterblock and the reference backplate fits fine. I would assume it would for both.

The XSPC will not w/o some grinding/mods. The Heatkillers and ek do.
