Hey all need a card around $350 for bf3

built an i5-2500k rig and this is the last piece of the puzzle.

I was leaning towards an nvidia gtx 570 but the whole vram issue really makes me think things twice and I def don't think the 2.5gig is worth the step up in price.

the twin frozr III is apparently back in stock on newegg and it seems like thats a great deal so I want to make a quick decision before its gone again.

will it really compare to a typical 5970 though? Like what about OCing a 5970? or even a 570? And then there's the whole risk of it not OCing I was really looking to go as high end as i could (don't wanna go as far as a 580 though)

I'm planning to be single gpu for a while but I may do two in a few months if a really good deal comes up.

:/ I'd probably get a 6970 unless you can find that card cheaper somewhere else.

So is 6970 > 570 the consensus here?
crossfire these 6870's would give you much more power than a single GTX580

$159.99 after using this coupon "POCO926" plus you also get another $20 after MIR.

so $320 without MIR, $280 with MIR

I've seen this suggested in searches, but id much rather just get one stronger card now and crossfire/sli later than have to buy a much stronger card later. I'm looking for longevity. Which is something else thats pushing me towards amd since crossfire apparently scales so much better than SLI.

You spent $2,500 on a rig without a GPU?

That's amazing. How did you do that?

(I'm not mocking you)

I'm not sure if this is a joke or not, but sorry I meant an i5-2500k rig LOL. So far I've only spent 700 thanks to some microcenter/newegg deals
