hd 4890, bf3 beta and the newest CCC - HELP

Thread Starter
So I upgraded my gfx drivers per the bf3 requirements and have now been reduced back to the horrible default scaling. I go to my digital flat panels>scaling options> and move it all the way to 0% overscan. When I load bf3 despite having the proper resolution as well as full screen enabled I continue to have the black borders around my game. When I exit the game my desktop resolution is back to being scaled wrong.

Any help?

Set a customized resolution to fill up your desktop in CCC then click "apply". Go to in game setting to select the customized resolution set in CCC.

customized resolution as in how I stated...my digital flat-panels>scaling options? I can get it scaled to full screen. Also the second I log off my desktop it messes the resolution back up.

Don't understand your question. Setting customized resolution didn't solve the game black border?

Edit:

Try uninstall all CCC drivers, restart PC and reinstall CCC.

I was asking if you meant set a customized resolution by opening CCC and going to my digital flat-panels>scaling options? That's how I increased the resolution. However that doesn't last when I load the game or when I log off windows and log back on...it resets back to borders.

No, didn't mean to use overscan option but to create a customize resolution by selecting "add". Then click "apply". If it doesn't stick after every PC restart, you might want to perform clean driver installation. That'll get rid of corrupt profiles or whatever is set in registry.

I did the custom video format, went to 1080p50 standard and hit add. The adjustable option displayed a full screen. When I applied it it went back to the border garbage. The only way I can make it full screen is through the scaling but as stated it doesn't last. I don't understand why the new version doesn't provide the same fix as it did in older versions. You simply had to go to scaling, hit enable and then move it. It never reset.
