Does tubing break?

Thread Starter
What are the chances of my loop breaking after I build it?

Lets assume for assumption that I've done a 24 hour leak test and it passed. Fittings will be compression if it matters.

tubing doesnt snap at all.

the chance of it leaking after 24 hrs of testing is slim to none, unless you purposely cut you lines with scissors

Once you successfully leak test you should have no problems unless you knock a fitting or component some how. I have been running my loop since feb last year with zero problems

Thanks.

just b carefull if you cut holes in your case or anyhting... i rip my fingers on modded stuff cause my grinder doesnt work lol only other thing that can happen but never does is over time the tube gets hot and streches.... if you got barbs make sure your using clamps
post #6 of 7
Yup, clamps are a must. The tube may feel secure when you put it on the barb dry, but that all changes when there's liquid in there...

If it makes it 24 hours without leaking, you should be good. I've only had one leak between my tubing and fitting, which was just due to insufficient pressure. The other few leaks were from fittings that were not installed tightly enough or other quirks.

Also, I wouldn't say clamps are a must. I've gone 3/8" on 3/8" in the past sans clamps. Just depends on the particular tubing and barb.
