Why is Source not on that list? CM10 looks amazing.

What a terrible game engine. It's like what Activision does with the COD engine.

Voted Frostbite 2, but idTech 3 is definently up there.
The source engine is one of the most if not the most optimized engines out there. Sure, the Frostbite and Crytek engines look better than the source engine in most people's opinions (I think that the source engine has a raw/crisp look to it that I prefer) but they also aren't nearly as optimized as the source engine.

Source Engine is also the most easy to mod. Almost all the games that have sprung off since HL1 have started as mods. Also check out Garrys Mod.

Unreal Engine 3. Did anyone watch the tech demo earlier this year? Enough said.

Unreal 3 might look really brown but it looks great. It's pretty well optimized as well.

Lack of Source Engine is kind of silly~ though I would have to go with Unreal 3. This engine produces such amazing visuals, without a huge performance cost. Much like Source.

People actually like source engine? I probably play source games the most out of all, but I think the engine feels terrible, and every game feels the same.

I vote Cryengine 3 out of that list, but two that I REALLY love are; Cryengine 2 and that engine that powered Metro 2033.

Totally agreed.

I actually like more UT3 engine for being a bit more universal, in terms of games and system requirements. Also Source engine is awesome.
