hi, ive got an old enermax EG651P-VE 650watt psu which was only used for about a month then stored, ive heard their really good quality so ive connected it up to my sig rig and all seems fine but i had to use adaptors for the 20 to 24pin mobo conector and 8pin cpu connector plus pci for my gpu.
is this safe to use as its an old version psu or is it fine using them adaptors?

like i said its running ok but just want to be sure, dont want anything to blow up smile.gif
cheers!

How are the rails balanced? Older systems tended to use more 3.3 and 5v while newer systems need more on the 12v rail.

The 20 pin motherboard connector should be fine as long as you install it right. The psu itself has enough power on the 12v rail for overclocking so power is not a issue.
