Thread Starter
Hey guys i wanted to upgrade to 8gb ram and i currently have this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227682
and I was wondering how it would work with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231444.
They are mostly the same however the voltages are different how will this conflict.

4Gigs of ram is enough for gaming.
If you really need 8gigs that bad take kit 2x4GB do not add another 2x2gb kit that is different from your, it won't work, you will most likely burn your motherboard.
In some cases it may work but note, that you will be pushing other kit and heat will be higher as well with possibility of random blue screens.

Are the ram modules the same as in the chips that are on the sticks..

Youll save like 12 bucks to...

But like most will say 4 gigs is enough..
unless you are doing some virtual machines and editing really really heavy...

The voltages are different, which means the ICs are likely different(ly binned). OCZ normally makes use of Samsung ICs, while G.Skill normally uses PSC. I don't recommend going for it.
