Should've ordered a couple days ago from Overstock.com. They had them for $250, but they're all sold out now, I think.

Do you need one for these headphones to sound good? The D2000's have 25 ohms of impedance, which obviously doesn't tell the whole story, but I would imagine that these should sound fine unamped (I'd probably get a DAC for these before an amp). Not speaking from firsthand experience, though, so correct me if I'm wrong.

I saw that actually. I wasn't sure if there was something wrong with them though. I have never bought anything from Overstock.com before.

$350 is a bit high though. If you haven't bought them yet, they drop down under $300 every so often on Amazon. There's an open box listing for $200 from Electronic Expo (authorized reseller) right now. If you already bought them, then enjoy. smile.gif

Thanks for the tips. I haven't bought them yet. Been price watching. May even wait until Black Friday.

They're back in stock at Overstock.

http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Denon-AHD2000-High-Performance-Over-ear-Headphones/6231218/product.html

Calling J&R definitely seems like the way to go, though. Maybe you can haggle with them further and bring the price below $200.
