According to others, 1.45 is too high.

Too many conflicting opinions.

sigh...

1.2v will get that to over 3ghz, my 1055t 95watt does 1.1 volt stable at 2.8ghz

What the heck guys? This is a Thuban, not some crappy Athlon I.

1.2v or less is plenty for 3.1ghz. My stable 24/7 overclock is 1.2v @ 3445mhz.

They are wrong. They are telling you to use way too much voltage, when you don't need it.

I think I'll test between 1.2 and 1.35.

If temps reach 50C then that's not good right?

Hopefully it stays between 28C to 38C.

stick at 1.2 and clock 2 3.1ghz and prime test, any probs up one step on volts, if ok decrease one step.
just remember lower nb devider and ram devider to close to stock. want to oc one at a time all 3 at once is harder to troubleshoot

That's a relief then, won't have to risk shortening the life of the cpu.

it is using 1.425 for 3.1 turbo ... (when you put 1.2v to 3.1 did you tested it 24 hours on prime95)?
remember not all chips are the same...

Well after Prime95 for 9hrs it appears to be stable at 3.1! with only 1.3! max temp is 41C but the bug has bitten and now I want to go all the way to 4.0 GHz! and not only because I think it's possible but because the "internetz" seems to suggest that thubans are good at OC.

Any advise on anything that I might need to know before I go ahead? ram? timings? HT? north bridge?
