95W 1035T, Voltage for 3.1GHz Overclock - Page 3

Please add your specs to your sig.

Keep HT Link 2000Mhz +/- 100Mhz
Nothing gained by overclocking and will degrade performance and increase instability

Overclock CPU-NB as high as you get get it (DDR3).
For each 10% you increase the CPU-NB speed, memory bandwidth is increased 3-4% and latency is reduced 3-4%.
Minimum is 3x base speed of RAM: 800Mhz Base (1600Mhz RAM) x 3 = 2400Mhz CPU-NB
May need CPU-NB voltage bump to increase higher.

Keep temps below 62C "Core Temp" and 60C for extended periods.
See my guide for more information.

remember not all chips are the same...
I said it a few times already, stock voltage is massively too much.

Well after Prime95 for 9hrs it appears to be stable at 3.1! with only 2.3!
2.3? Do you mean 1.23v?

I see, well I won't OC to 4 then, come to think of it by the time games need more than 3.1 GHz my cpu should be obsolete, right?

Alright, I've decided that 3.4GHz is what I'm gonna try to stick with.

Any suggestions about the vcore? I would like to get an idea at least on where to start.

I've thought about this CPU too because my board only supports 95W but i've been waiting to see what the OC results are going to be.
