You can probably tie that in with EaseUS Todo back up so you can do the Imaging that way too.

That's a really creative solution! Unfortunately I don't know if this is possible and also if I were to have two separate backups, wouldn't the incremental function of Win7 backups be lost?

Crashplan! For free it can automatically back up to a hard drive, external drive, another computer, a friends computer over the internet (backups are encrypted). If you pay you can backup to the crashplan company server.
