Can it be ocz agility 3? Freezing pc

hello i just got my new computer built. I have been having problem with it ever since my first load. My computer on a fresh install of windows 7 home premium is constantly locking up. When my computer locks up i can move my mouse but all other functions fail to respond. I can not cntrl,alt,delete....click on anything or do anything. Sometimes these lock ups last for a few minutes sometimes I end up having to just shut down manually. At times durning the lock ups it seems like the computer starts to function, for example the computer locks up and i hit cntrl, alr, delete and a minute later it responds but then stops resopnding almost instantly. I have done PC diagnostics...Memtest 86 for a few hours with no problems, 3d mark 11 and other diagnostic software with nothing found. I have also reinstalled windows and even on a fresh install with no software installed. As a final note when i get an lock up and it recovers ill check event logs in windows but find nothing. the computer has never physically crashed as result of a lock up. Im running out of ideas ......

For ssd they need to be in achi mode not ide give this a try in bios and see if it fixes the issue

If not have u updated the firmware for the drive?

If you havent let me know and i will find you a link and instructions on how to update it.

No over Clocking has been done on this computer yet. and all mother board settings are correct from what i can tell.

I have also never received a BSOD it just freezes and some times even the mouse locks up with everything else. Just more often then not I can at least move mouse arrow around.

I heard this SSD has problems with sandforce controler

Update the firmware on the SSD, it may well be the problem.

What firmware version is your agility 3 at? Download hdtune, you may need to update it.

Yes it is at achi.

I have not done the firmware update yet I wanted to see if this first could even be at fault of my SSD and not my CPU or MB. I don't think it's ram because a few hours with memtest should be good enough to rule the ram out. And everyhing works great until the point the pc freezes. Plays wow,bf3 and ccs great. Outside this problem.

I'm not sure of firmware version. Have not even looked did not think until doing some reading into the issue that my ssd could even cause this problem.

Yes, you are experiencing the bsod bug. On 2.06 mine would crash, on 2.08 it would freeze up and sometimes recover but sometimes crash.

Update your drive to the latest firmware, secure erase it and clear your cmos.

That might help. Even OCZ doesn't know for sure if it will.

First of all:

I see you are using 1850 BIOS. It's a BETA version... Maybe it does not work well with your SSD. Always install lateset BIOS (but not the BETA onces...)

Second:

Do you have the P8P67 Pro or the P8P67 Pro (B3.0) or the P8P67 Pro (B3.1)
I used the "ASUS automaticly drivers detect tool" --> it had detected the correct model for me, but not the correct BIOS version, so I could not update the BIOS rolleyes.gif

Since I have no SSD (yet tongue.gif) I cannot speak for the FW update of it...

Me and a college friend both had what you are describing, he has the same ssd as you while I have the vertex 3. Setting the ssd's to hot swappable in the bios solved the problem for both of us. worth a try
