A Ram purchase question

Thread Starter
Went to my cities biggest computer market as I decided to get 1 more set of 2x2gb of Corsair Dominator, for final total of 8gb.
I bought mine last February here in SH for like 150$ usd. Now they dont even have it in stock, and online it's still 80-150 usd
Though they got 2x4gb Vengeance for 70 usd! I thought of getting rid of my 4gb Dominator and purchasing 2 sets of Vengeance for total of 16gb and trying to clock it to 8-9-8-23. What do you guys think? Is it worth it? 4gb is really not cutting it for me anymore, i got some spare cash right now and I'm not planning to upgrade anything until 2013ish

If you do video/photo editing like me you will enjoy more than 8gb. If you only are a gamer or multi task a lot then 8gb is plenty.

I work with UDK and gonna be taking my desktop to univer computer science major
Its just getting another 4gb Dominator, compared to 8gb Vengeance I really seem not to gain anything but just loose money

I would get the 16gb in that case, doing a lot of 3d work requires a ton of ram...when I worked with autocad and 3ds max I always used up the 12gb in my i7 rig.
