Stable voltage AMD PHENOM 955 TO 3.7GHZ - Page 2

I use about 1.46??? for 3.68GHz, probably abit higher than needed on my C2 stepping 955 , its been too hot to bother with P95 stress testing all summer

For overvolting, ensure good CPU and VRM cooling.

I'd worry more about this than your VCore. There are averages but it's different from one chip to another.

Might be able to get away with 1.35 or 1.4 depending on the chip.

just to throw out another data point. my 955 is running fully stable at 4.0 GHz at 1.380V. Temps are 32-33 at idle and 47-49 at load.

47.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

I've had two 955s that could hit 4.2GHZ with 1.45v - two
One that hit 4.1GHZ with 1.392v and yes one that hit 4GHZ with 1.5v

Every chip is different period.
It all depends on the chip. My chip can make it to 3.6ghz on stock voltage. But that is just my chip. I can also make it to 4ghz on 1.4v, some call that golden. But that is just my chip. Most chips take at least 1.45 to get 4ghz.
I would say you should be able to get 3.7ghz with minimal voltage increase. Just make sure you have good cooling.

Also, if XD says you are going to blow up your board, he is probably right, he knows a lot about AMD and low quality boards.
