Question regarding the Coolgate Quad 120mm

Thread Starter
this radiator has four inlet/outlet ports. Can i use just the ports on one side as my inlet and oulet ports? here is a link to ta photo of the rad I'm talking about.
Also as a Bonus question-can the 5th port labeled as a fill port be used as a inlet or outlet port? This is a secondary concern of mine so dont worry about getting too wrapped up if you dont know the answer to that one.

You need to use one inlet on the left side, one on the right. Otherwise, the water wouldn't go through the water channels, and you would have no heat dissipation.

I just found this, here the qoute
"Additionally the heat transmission area is even raised. Coolgate radiators posses 4x G1/4 Inputs on the front, which enables a flexible configuration. Further the upper water chambers are separated avoiding any bypass and are optimized for a perfect water flow."

http://hw-lab.com/newcomer-coolgate-releases-high-performance-radiators.html

Does that mean i can have the inlet and outlet on one side?

You can only use one side as inlet, and one as outlet as was stated earlier. In that review, where they say you have flexibility in tubing arrangements, the mean either straight in from end OR side. And if you did use the single end port in the loop, you would be losing half of the radiator due to the coolant only going from one end to the other then out, as opposed to going all the way back to the other end through the other side of the rad.

The statement that the "chambers" are separated is correct, it doesn't say that the ports are separated.
