How are my temps? (+pics)

Thread Starter
System info / water cooling loop below, I don't have any games to load the GPU on, just formatted and waiting for BF3 to come out.

Idle Temps:

Prime95 Temps:

are they high, low, just about average?
should I be able to get better, any advice?
thanks

they look alright, your not in any immediate danger. Theres room on that cpu to go further, the max safe temp is apparently 90 deg Cel on an i5 2500K, but id never let it get anywhere near that. I prefer to keep my cpu's under 70 deg Cel, especially when theyre overclocked.

EDIT: sick case BTW

Couldn't have asked for a better temperature on that overclock! Although I have to say that I'm getting about the same temps with a NH-D14 air cooler. Aren't water coolers generally stronger?

too many factors to consider really (what setups, what coolant, bad chips, bad blocks, bad contacts, what else is cooled in the loop etc).

Done right, generally a water cooling rig will keep the temps lower than an air cooled rig with the same hardware

coolant is de-ionised water, the block could not be seated very well and it was quite scratched (should have lapped it really but just wanted to get my PC up and running since i'd been without it for a month+) so that could be it
