How to replace 5.25"-drive covers?

I used to have two DVD Burners on my main rig.

Now, just a single BD Burner.

The one empty slot with no cover simply looks ugly.

Is there any mod for this?

If you didn't save the slot covers from when you bought your case, Fleabay is your best bet to find some. Always worth saving them in case your configuration changes.

Otherwise, you could get a fan controller, or a 3.5-5.25" adapter and a flash card reader (Silverstone makes some nice adapters), or something else.

Can't find any on eBay or Fleabay.

Isn't there some kind of popular mod? That's why I posted it in the Mods section.

I posted this in another thread last night, but seems relevant here too.

Woah, at 10-12$ a cover, that is insanely expensive just for some plastic.

Heck, even the 15$ triple-slot ones are expensive at 5$ per cover..

I was thinking a cheap sheet metal mod..

You should be able to get them from Antecs spare parts section on their website, or just shoot them an email etc.

It's actually black wrinkle painted aluminum, I thought the price is rather fair. Though, I get your point, I bet you could easily fabricate one like it yourself with a little effort.

Sounds like a hassle.

Besides, I have about 7 cases I'm working on and at least a couple are going to need the same. I can't call every manufacturer and wait 4-6 weeks for the parts to arrive..

Ah, shoot. Maybe I'll pull the trigger on the MMods covers..

It's not some special order / request.

They have a spare parts section on their site, at least check it out and see if you can get it.
I did it for a case door on a P180, it didn't take long at all.
