If you are going multi-monitor though you will need at least 2GB VRAM.
Multiple monitor, 6970 wins hands down because of the 2GB. Single 1080p monitor..........the GTX 570 is still going to roll heads. So many benchmarks have proven it.

Higher resolution and multiple monitors......570 is behind.

I've heard the reason in some tests your video card shows up with more ram than it has its because of this, but I am curious how it works in detail. I know when I had Blizzard scan my system it said I had 3 gb of ram for my 580 GTX!

You should read Hardocp's article on BF3 performance. The 6950 beats the GTX 570 at the moment. I guess that 2GB of memory is helping it a bit :-)

6970>570

6970 CF with my CPU still doesn't max it out(I get around 58FPS when running outdoors with lots of stuff).

that is why I am considering to take 6950 for BF3, this card is worthy for performance.
