I had not thought of that, its a possibility if costs can be kept low.

Tim to go search ncix

I would consider a NZXT Source 210 case for the Number 2 build or AMD A- variant.
If you go I3 the 2105 is only $10-15 more and has the HD3000 Video.
The Samsung F3 1TB is the general price/performance favorite.
FWIW I find the H61 boards price performance underwhelming and the Biostar TH67B a better choice. Just me. I have an MSI H61-P23 from a bundle deal, not impressed.

I was wonder how much a 5.25 to floppy bay adapter would run me

Well, I'm now contemplating mixing build 1 and 2 together to get some of the added performance but keeping costs down at the same time
Build 3:
Intel Core i3 2100 (or 2105)
Corsair 4GB DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte H67 motherboard
Silverstone Grandia GD05B
Corsair 400W PSU

~500GB Hard Drive (trying to keep cost on the hard drive low as they just need a new one but not a crap ton of space)
Internal Flash card reader in a 5.25 to 3.5 bay adapter
External usb dvd-rom drive

I'd then try to go ahead and re-sell the SB Pentium processor and gpu I had on a BST forum.
