Heatsink For A 2600K?

Thread Starter
Hi Everyone.

For Christmas, I am looking to upgrade my PC with a 2600k/Mobo and GPU etc. And was wondering what CPU Cooler would be best for an i7 2600K.
I have an idea which is: http://www.coolermaster.co.uk/produc...roduct_id=6756
CASE: http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product...ndex=62&g=spec

What I would like to know is will the CPU Cooler fit into my case?
Will it block off the RAM slots on the Motherboard I will be getting:http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=46593
And, Is there a better CPU Cooler out there in terms of Price V. Performance.

The only thing I am not fussed about is Noise As my current build is quite loud as it is >< and Price is no object

EDIT:Also, Would this Heatsink at all block off any of the PCI Slots?

Thanks

The Hyper 212+ is a very popular cooler for the Sandy Bridge processors. I went with the Corsair H50 which so far has worked well even at 4.5GHz.

I would get a cooler better than the TX3.

It should be sufficient to cool your CPU at stock speeds but I wouldn't count on it keeping up with higher heat loads.

Especially if you're getting such a nice board as the Extreme7 you can spend a bit more to get a better cooler.

You can start with a AIO watercooler like a Corsair H100 or even smaller H50/H60.
They are small and will definitely fit in your case and when you feel more comfortable build your own watercooling project

Cheers

I may take Watercooling into consideration however, it does not really appeal to me too much.

***, you want to spend almost 240€ for the mobo but only 30-40€ for the cooler?
thats not a good idea. invest more and get a Noctua D14 or Thermalright Silver Arrow.
or as i mentioned before wait cause there are some pretty neat new reviews about some upcoming twin towers
