You probably look like one of the coolest kids ever insulting someones computer because they haven't already blown there money on it, The 1090 is the 2nd best processor AMD makes behinds the 1100 which difference is 100 Mhz stock, Maybe when buying a computer someone will look at a a brand rather than cross referencing two, I for one wanted AMD , So I purchased they best they had and If I wanted Intel I would get a 2600k , not a 760 lol.

Frank that Asus looks good, if you go however with a company like the one listed before ,Sager you can get besically those same specs for about 1399$ I believe , only difference I'm seeing is 4 gb less of RAM but who needs more than 8gb anyway.

Yes, we can have preferences for certain brands but there are clearly better choices.

It's like in the mid 90s when people buy Ford Taurus' instead of Toyota Camrys because of the brand. There's clearly a right and a wrong choice.

The best AMD has is slower in games than the worst i-core processor from Intel, the i3-2100.

Is this why , when he said you didnt answer his question you though it would be best to just insult something he has to try and make him feel lesser? This is the point I am making. Nobody wants help from an ******* .

Here are some more CLEVO laptops too... and about the ASUS.

I don't know if you guys in Florida get taxed but, if so the Amazon deal is the best you can get for what it is. The cooling on that laptop will most likely beat out a lot of gaming laptops and remember theres no tax! >_< that is the price out the door... dude I would sell you my laptop just to get that one lol 1100 for mines , only got it in February too!

anyways : http://www.avadirect.com/plist.asp?k...FcwbQgodbm073w

If you blow the $2000 now on hardware. What time scale would you be looking at before you would upgrade again(Just gives us an idea on how long you want the Rig to last).

If you would be willing to use spare CPU time for a good cause
(Folding@home) I would suggest getting a i7 2600K over a 2500K(The i7 2600/K is a great chip).

If the machine is just for gaming then like others have posted the i5 2500K seems to be the chip most popular with gamers on here.

Keep your current HD6970 GPU. But possibly look for a motherboard that has Crossfire and SLI support. This way you can move from AMD to Nvidia if they happen to give better performance with there newer cards.

Yes, but you have a working rig, the payoff of waiting will out weigh that overused statement.

It's not an overused statement, it's a true statement. If I waited to pull the trigger on every purchase because something better was coming in the next few months, I'd never buy anything.

Feel free to close this thread. I found my answers through the people who actually read my first few posts.
