HD Tune also works well.

I'm on Raid 0, and I regret it. I have a backup drive, and I still have nightmares about data loss. It's just not worth the marginal speed boost.

I don't like how everyone stats that if "you lose 1 HD in RAID 0 then you lose ALL your information".
While this statement is true, it leads the reader to believe that if you had them seperate a harddrive could fail and you'd still have the info.
If a harddrive crashes, you lose your data. How is this different than it has always been.
Backup your data on an external if you have to, but Raid 0 kicks ass, no if ands or buts.

GO raid or go home

If your not Raided and a drive dies you lose all the data. If you have 2 drives in raid0 yeah your end up loosing it too but you still have an extra drive to wipe and boot.

Its not like you are in a worse off position than normal. I guess that fear of complication in possible recovery is what gets people.
Actually you are "worse" off. Because a power outage could leave your raid0 looking at 2 spots on each drive then it is corrupt. While a single drive does not corrupt nearly as easy. Even a BSOD from a OC can kill a raid0 array. This is all happening while both drives are healthy. It has happened to me in the past and that is why I went SSD.

I'd grab a SSD and a raid1 for storage. Just like my sig.
