Battlefield 3 recommendation gpu? - Page 9

Ok I think I'm gonna go for a new monitor first then a video card. In the meantime is it important to go more than 8 gigs to have headroom for a 1gb video card? I may consider getting a gtx 570 after all. Someone told me having a 120hz monitor can give me more framerates? True?

More than 8GB? lol I doubt it.

No anything past 6GB is more than enough and won't improve video graphics one bit. Only multi-tasking.

120Hz monitor cost $400 least expensive. Does allow for some more FPS headroom if your video card is strong enough, more VRAM dosen't help on a weaker card anyway, would need SLI to push it further.

Anyone have experiance at 5760*1200 (or 5760*1080)?

580 3GB SLI no question, but at what level does it run fluid? How does TrippleSLI scale (on 16x/8x/8x)?

Why do people bother to ask questions about video cards here when they can make their own thread? Lol.. This guy is nothing but a troll lol.

I just built a rig 2 days ago and chose to go with the 560 Ti Superclocked.

I was debating the 560Ti 2GB at first, but found that the Clock speed will far better your performance than actual GPU memory on the 560Ti. Noting that the 560Ti Superclocked is roughly $70-100 cheaper than the 570.

With a stock 2600K, 560 Ti Superclocked and 16 GB G-Skill Ripsaw Memory I get about 55-60 FPS on Ultra in BF3.

Sorry 560ti ain't my choice it only has better shaders that's all. I still would love to see your proof if you do have it. The GPU-Z and CPU-Z information. That's the only proof i would know. The 2gb is a good card but i perfer something bigger than that one and 16 gb is overkill btw. Oh also you're NOT running ULTRA in the beta. Ultra is actually running "high" in case you didn't know. The beta isn't finished. I hate people joining up OCN just to have a little talkback because they know everything when you think they don't. No pun intended but i wish the moderator would give us thread starters an option to delete comments lol.

I won't go nowhere near AMD though. Just not my favorite type of cards.

560Ti is probably totally on my mind. I heard having 2 GTX 560Ti in SLi can perform same as 570? True? Especially you can overclock them to perform the same.

Now if i get a single card of 560Ti, do i NEED to update my monitor resolution? Just wondered. Otherwise i can just wait and buy a GTX 570 later after holidays.

I need some benchmarks here. I know we don't have any for BF3 but NVIDIA has a review on these cards benching the game though.
