Eh really? That's strange, I've not had that problem. I guess that's a good way to cut back music storage lol rofl.

Yeah, I can tell. You don't seem like you blindly hate on Apple or anything. I'm just really hoping the iPhone i5 is da bomb.
No iPhone 5 yet. You're now getting an iPhone 4S with 64GB for $399.

All arguments are now null and void. Of course you don't need the option of an expandable memory slot if you don't even use your internal HD for anything...
I have before though, but I wouldn't want an SD card.

Do realize that storing just a single 1hr episode of a tv show at SD resolution at a decent bitrate can push 700MB? Not to mention higher bitrate near-HD files that someone wants to watch... What if someone wanted a whole season of a show to have with them to watch at various times?

There's no reason not to have an SD slot--and there's no way integrating one would cost anything significant to the price of the phone. And regarding aesthetics, you already have a slot in the side of your phone for your sim card. How would adding a micro SD slot change much? It's such a small slot, and covers are well-designed.

But Apple will never offer this. It plays right into their marketing, and it makes good business sense for them.
Mmm, maybe you're right. I just really don't like them and I don't think I'll ever use one.

Don't judge me, at the price point I'm paying I may as well spend a little extra to get what I want rather than what I don't want.

Of course, since Apple seals their phone (which prevents you from changing the battery out as well), they wouldn't be able to do this. Basically Apple has made a series of decisions which are all in their best interest to screw you out of money, and oddly you're ok with that. I'm generally not too excited when a company overcharges by hundreds of dollars, and then removes functionality from the product to screw me out of even more money. To each their own I guess, I guess it just saddens me that people continue to support companies that intentionally do this stuff.
I'm aware of that.

Uh....? You sir have just won the sole spot in my sig for quotes.
As I said above, I'm not going to spend $499 and get something I don't want. You might see the value in saving that $120, but to me it's more than worth it to get the internal storage but I really, really hate SD cards.

Slightly annoyed you'd put that in your sig, considering no one will take it into context and will thus give me a bad reputation. Everyone will think I'm being a fan boy when I simply just hate SD cards and the money is more than worth it to me. The fact that I'm willing to fork out that money for internal storage should be a testament to how much I don't want an SD card.

One more thing btw: Steelbom, did you ever hear of the iPad's sD card adapter? Apple CAN easily add an SD card adapter, but they choose not to, to milk more money out of their consumers.
Yes, I have heard of it and I think they should allow it to work with SD cards -- in fact it does with jail broken devices.

I'll probably be getting an iPhone 4S with 16GB for $199. We'll see how much it is on contract in Australia, I'm guessing $15 a month for the 16GB model.
