my bud has a 965 and saw the biggest jump in performance in games by adding a 580 from a 260. The 965 is still a viable gaming chip on a budget.

I upgraded from a 2.6 Ghz Athlon II , so for me it was double ( or even more performance upgrade ) , but i'm not sure a bout this situation
