Glad they're so nice to you; they refused to even pay shipping for an RMA of some RAM strips that were broken from day 1 for me. I'll likely not buy another Corsair product.

Based on my experience, it wouldn't surprise me if they expected the customer to fix the problem manually. At least they're not as bad as OCZ.

I think it's only a small number of controllers within the lot, not necessarily the entire lot.

Mine was part of the affected batch and it's working just fine. And to be entirely honest, it's not even that big of an issue...

Now, if the hoses were leaky or the pumps had a tendency to break down, that would be serious.

As for the quality of their return service, I've heard that they have a pretty good reputation - but I suppose people still get shorted occasionally. Quite frankly, if you're saying that you're not going to buy from Corsair because you hate their service, I would think that you'd be forced to settle for lower-quality products. I've got a bunch of corsair components, and I've been completely satisfied with them.

A 5.25" fan control, and aftermarket fans are a good investment, anyway, (allowing adjustment for overclocking and noise levels). As long as the pump motor is ok, wouldn't sweat it too much.

Corsair doesn't make its own PSU, they're PSUs are outsourced by a third party.

Also, I made a post months ago regarding the H100 and whether or not Corsair would replace damage caused by defective parts. It seems there are many differing stories. My username there is Chazz

A thread you made 2 months ago? There was a thread on these forums where someones h50 fried some parts and they replaced them. Think it was in the watercooling subforum. You just need to talk to the right people.

OMG almost.....my H100 arrived, checked the number and almost cried. Luckily, my number is 11309403 rather than 11359403.

I won't be able to check my batch til sometime tomorrow but I have an issue/ annoyance related to two Corsair products I own.

My HX-850 constantly buzzes on both idle and load and the pump on my H100 makes a semi-loud whirring noise all the time.

What's the point of buying really good quiet fans then having your cooler and PSU ruin the whole thing.

TBH I'm disappoint in Corsair's quality. Sure they don't make their own PSUs but still, I should expect more silence out of a HX unit. My HX-750 never made a peep.
