[BGR]Sprint scores iPhone 5 exclusive thanks to $20 billion deal with Apple? - Page 9

Why are so many people focused on Sprint's coverage area? This has never bothered me much because my phone will just roam on Verizon's network if I'm outside of my area. No missed calls or lack of service. I take a hit on data but not really much else.

Is that a standard option/feature for most Sprint phones? I'm using Virgin Mobile--strict sprint network (no roaming to verizon), and when you venture away from populated areas the coverage is very very spotty. And out in the boonies there's no chance of getting a signal.

Yes that is standard with sprint phones. You will not get the real experience of sprint on your network. But I'm sure the price is much lower and I wouldn't change it if it is keeping you happy.

Question: If you get unlimited everything on Sprint, why does it matter if you take a hit on data?

Because Verizon doesn't allow sprint to roam with 3g. It is part of the roaming agreement.

I believe there are workarounds for this that could get your account with sprint canceled.

I've wanted an iphone forever...but never bad enough to leave Sprint.

I love my EVO and have since launch day...but hopefully Sprint gets the iphone 5 so that I can finally get an iphone.
No iphone 5 for the loss.

I'm sticking with the EVO.

I'm grandfathered in to sprint so this is epic win for me if it's actually true.
