SLI Core/Memory throttling

Thread Starter
I"m using latest beta drivers 285.38 and I've noticed in MSI Afterburner that when I'm not doing anything graphic intensive, or even at idle, my GPU1's core speed and memory don't throttle, while my GPU2's core/mem throttles down.

Is there something I'm missing? Shouldn't both GPUs throttle down when there's no load? How do I get GPU1 to throttle it's speed like GPU2?

I am running dual monitors, both plugged into GPU1. My NVIDIA Settings for PhsX is AUTO. SLI enabled.

Download nvidia inspector. That fixed the same issue for me. I'll find the thread for you in a few. Or you can just search it.

Thanks I'll try that out tonight.

But are you suggesting that it's an issue with MSI Afterburner? Will the two programs conflict?

It's a hardware limitation and not Afterburner's fault. And I've used Nvidia Inspector's Multi Display Power Saver alongside Afterburner with no problems. Here's a link to the thread showing how to use it to enable the lower power states:
