Going to benchmark a 6950 vs 560ti

Thread Starter
I still see a ton of these threads popping up asking which is best. I'm going to go ahead and do some benches to hopefully shed a little bit of light on the subject. From what I've seen from owning the two I think the 6950 will come out ahead but it's going to be interesting to find out.

The cards:
XFX 6950 1GB
Zotac 560 ti 1GB

The test system:
I5-2500k @ 4.5
Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600
AData 64GB SSD; 2x WD Black 750GB RAID 0
CoolerMaster Silent Pro 700w
Win7 64bit
1920x1080

If you know of any newer game benchmarks that are free let me know and I'll see about adding those to the comparison as well.

Games to bench:

Aliens vs Predators
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
Crysis or Crysis Warhead
Just Cause 2
Lost Planet 2
Mafia 2
Metro 2033
Resident Evil 5

I will do runs at stock speeds and max OC as well.

Looking forward to this.

Ive had both, 560Ti, and 6950 1GB, running on my old q9400 rig.

I'd say the 6950 pulled 5-15 (max frames) and about 5 average frames on the 560Ti. Stock clocks.
