CPU OC problem (asus mobo)

Hello guys!
Today I face a new problem which I would like to resolve with your help.
so thank you for any help you can give!
This is was my pc yesterday:
CPU:AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE @3.6GHz
CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B
GPU: Inno3D Nvidia GTX 460 @ 850/1700/2100 768MB
Ram: Kingston DDR2 4GB 800Mhz
HDD: Hitachi SATA2 500GB 16MB
PSU: Chieftec APS-550S 550W
Mo'bo': Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2 Rev 4.1
Case: CM 690 II Plus

today I got a Asus M5A87 with 2x2GB G.skill DDR3 1333Mhz.

the problem with this is that I can't OC my CPU over 3.4Ghz, when with the old DDR2 mobo I could get to 3.6GHZ without raising the voltage.

I tried with 1.4V and 3.6Ghz. after a few mins of Prime95 I get a bluescreen.

everything is good with 3.4Ghz as I said, which btw was made by the AI suit (asus software) I just auto tuned and this was the result.

I wonder if anyone here has a similar Mo'bo or had a similar problem and could give me some directions.

in conclusion I want to be able to get at least to 3.8Ghz.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance!

if you could, get the code off that bsod. it will tell us a bit more about why you're not stable.

Usually means you need more voltage on CPU or RAM. Just start bumping CPU up by 0.01v at a time until you get something that doesn't bluescreen right away under Prime and keep it under 1.5v and 60C - then we can look at your other settings if it's still not stable. Every chip is different, so you will need to find the voltage it wants for that specific clock. Also Make sure your RAM voltage is in spec, maybe bump it by .001v as well.

It seems to be connected to a software named EPU (which I deleted and the problem was solved) but I have another problem...
Every few seconds my Vcore and Core speed drops to 1.026V and 800Mhz...
It is something related to Asus's LLC:

I didn't really understand what is all about...
can you explain it to me please?

thanks again for the support!

Its Cool-and-Quiet, a power saver feature. Its normal.
You can disable it if you want

No in that case(at load). I thought it happened during IDLE.
That is caused by your mobo's overheated Voltage Regulators. There is no heatsink to cool them down.
You need something like these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835708012
