You can overclock pretty much any CPU. How far is the real question.
Regarding LGA-1155, you don't strictly need a K chip, as there is some small amount of BCLK wiggle room and turbo multipliers, if any, can be used.
That said, any worthwhile
OC is going to need a K chip, at least on LGA-1155.

Add in a Windows key, and download the ISO from Microsoft for about another $30 or so, and you've got a solid build, and it'll eat games alive at moderate settings (GPU limited by the GTS450).
I'd still rather have an AMD setup in this price range.
The i3 is impressive at stock, but an OCed Phenom II or Athlon II will best one.
Likely more of an upgrade path on the P67 setup though.
