point in keeping gtx 570?

Thread Starter
So i just bought 2 gtx 480 sc edition with ek water blocks (it was such a good deal i couldn't pass it up). however, I am curious what should i do now with my spare gtx 570. Am i able to place it on my board as a 3rd non sli gpu? or should i just sell it? because i am not going to use it because 2x480 > 1gtx570.

I have a 100W HX corsair that I haven't used yet would it be enough to run the 3 cards plus the cpu? I think that is pushing the PSU pasts its limits

This.

If you don't need 3way SLI. Sell it.

And a 1000w PSU should be able to handle 2 480's and 1 570 just fine.

Personally I would sell the 480's for a profit and buy a second 570. 570's are quieter and more efficient and probably scale better too. Last time I checked a 570 is pretty much equal to a 480 anyways.

Probably be the best choice. 480s can get hotter than hell even without sli. I think that's pushing it.

Strange. A 480 cost a lot more than a 570 but 570 is chilly, and performs better if not the same.
