For $20 how is this?

Some guy on craigslist who happened to be in my small town posted this ad saying he was selling this for $25 or best offer. So I offered him $20 and he said yeah sure and I also asked for the back of it so he emailed me a picture.

I'm assuming 600w is plenty for a nothwood p4 and a pny geforce 6200 128mb with 512mb ddr ram, but I was just wondering if this is any good or not so that I could use it on future upgrades on this cheap/old machine. Thanks!

I'd use it. I had a 450w coolermaster PSU on my server for a couple of years until I upgraded it to an i7 and decided to play it safe with something better.

But yeah, you could probably run any modern machine and a single high-end card just fine with that PSU.

its alright. better make sure it actually works before you buy it. i pretty sure that psu would be good . just dont buy really power intensive cards , for sure 460 works on it.

Surprisingly some kids from there and Howard Heights go to my high school for some reason even though it's in the middle of Park Ridge.

I'm not going to be powering my rig with it, I'm going to be powering a northwood pentium 4 for it lol. Was just wondering if it's any good or not.

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/artic...-Review/1034/9 It's overrated Coolermaster crap...

If you don't mind not having 80+ rating then go for it. Just keep in mind it should be a 450w unit and not a 600w one.

600W? HAAAAAAAAAH.

Try 350-400W.

Don't forget to post a sniper on the nearest tallest building, and a homeboy to walk alongside you in case the deal turns sour.

If you're just going to run a Pentium 4 and a GF6200, then it's fine. But it's an old PSU, you can tell by the fact that it has a -5V rail. If you can, inspect it before you fork over the cash. In case the caps are leaking or something else is fishy about it.
