roger, damn comp rebooted again hah. i just bumped CPU and CPU/NB V to 1.475. i'll try that if not bump it again. thanks alucard.

Your welcome, the process of overclocking takes patience. Once you get something that holds stable for awhile, we can work on your other settings to increase performance and/or increase stability.

well, come to find, i had 2 different memory sticks. i got a 1666 mhz 1.5v set (2x2gb) and a 1800 1.7-1.9v set (2x2gb). i wonder if that's my problem and why a set takes a dumb on me when i push. so i'm probably gonna sell these, and swap to a set of corsair blue vengeances (2x4gb) so i keep the 8gigs ram, but lose a pair for slightly simpler OC. while i'm at it, i got a protection plan of the cpu that allows me to trade my cpu in for upgrades, so i'll probably swap to a phenom ii 3.5ghz black edition (mother boad does support it.) my windows apparently bricked on me from all the bad restarts. Won't shut down properly, reboots every other time (regardless of memory configuration, and even if i set bios back to stock. *sigh*) The love of comps. I'll be back in a few days when i get this all sorted and am ready to start again. Want to thank everyone for the insights and help!

You may get the sticks to run together, but you'll have to set the latency to the HIGHER of the two, and the speed to the LOWER of the two.

1: Your HTT should be around 2000 if you haven't fixed that already.
2: Set your CPU/NB also to 2000 until you get your CPU/RAM stable
3: See what you can do on the CPU clocks once your RAM is stable before you mess with CPU/NB.
4: If you have a non-BE chip and you're overclocking purely by FSB baseclock, you should lower your CPU multiple and see what is the highest FSB you can tune stable. You'll have to keep changing the HTT, CPU/NB and RAM multiples to keep them in spec as your FSB goes up. Then you'll know your limits instead of trying to add VCore to get more CPU clocks when in reality it's your board that has reached its limit.
