Is my harddrive dieing?

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

Well one of my harddrives has been iffy for a while now but yesterday it was really bad. Whenever I was downloading a file to it, it would randomly hang my PC for about 5-10secs and then disappear. Downloading to my raid drives stopped the issue. If I rebooted the harddrive would pop back up. It use to do this awhile ago but stopped for a couple of weeks.

Really have no idea if its about to snuff it, don't wanna go replace it with a expensive 3TB and nothing it wrong with it.

Thanks!

EDIT: Like currently right now its transferring a file fine to my raid drives at decent speeds....I don't get it :/

Might also want to try a new cable. I had a cable fail on me just last week, same symptoms; OS hangs, disappearing drives, sporadically works fine.
