Go with what you can afford.

The 1055t and the i7 860 are similar in performance in most games when you max the graphics setting. There are very few games that the i7 will visibly pull ahead and you will notice the difference.

Also if you're rendering the extra core on the 1055t will help boost it's performance. Not as much as the i7, but still enough to be happy with your purchase.

I have an i7-860 and a 1075t and I have run both with all kinds of test...the 1075t does a tad better at encoding than the i7-860 and runs a ton cooler.

If heat is your concern go with the AMD side. for me thats what i chose.....
