building a bulldozer rig, budget $1100

yeah yeah, i know $1100 is pretty low for the latest and greatest, but i managed to build one. i don't want to influence your choice in putting one together as i want to see what you thought was best first. anywhozel, if you want to take 5 mins out of your day to put the best bulldozer rig (it has to be the top model 8 core which is $300, use a place holder for now like an i7 2600k) i'd really appreciate it

Soo we use only $800? Since the FX CPU will be $300

= $1117 (inclduing FX cpu)

Now, You still need OS, Optical Drive, Case, Power Supply and K + M, Hopefully you already have those? Otherwise i think i can edit a few things around.

I like everything from AMDrocks, but I'd offer up the Asus Sabertooth board instead.

Agreed. You can skimp on other stuff, like getting a GTX460 or something and upgrade later, but, get the best base you can to build your masterpiece.

I like the fact that you consider buying a nearly 200$ motherboard cheaping out :/ The 990FXA-UD5 is just as good if not better than the Crosshair.
