Should I push on to 4.0ghz

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, i currently have my 1090t running stable @ 3.9ghz with a voltage of 1.4625.
After 8 hours of prime95 blend i have core temps of 50 and cpu temp of 62, I am using a noctua nh-u9b se2 cooler and would like to know if anyone thinks it would be safe to up the voltages again and push through to 4.0.
The voltage setting i have now is the absolute lowest i can go and still maintain stability.

You should have no problems hitting 4 with 1.475. It's a safe voltage with that chip.

I'm in a similar situation with my X4 945. I am rock stable @ 3.8ghz 2.5ghz nb/uncore @ 1.4v with LLC (1.44-1.45v during load) on with good temps (35C max with 20C ambient).

I can bench @ 4ghz but it's not 100% stable. I've gone up as high as 1.43v but it crashes almost instantly when I start to fold. Kinda happy with the performance I have right now and gives me peace of mind of not going over the chips rated voltage. (my chip is rated @ 1.4v max, C3 Deneb)

GL!

Ok I'm going in.
Is the safety net of 62c for the core or the cpu though?
I have read many conflicting statements..

It is officially, but a lot of boards will restart at 60c, so I'd use that as a ceiling.

For the cpu, that is.

Per that page if you have an E0 stepping, it is indeed 62C for core temp. Use core temp value not cpu value.

Thanks for all your responses.
Prime95 stopped working after 12 minutes - 4.0ghz @1.75v, I suppose this party is over then?

1.75???? Surely you mean 1.475. If not, back down now! Otherwise, I've ran mine at 1.5v since March with no ill effects so far. Also, is there a vdroop present?

Keep temps below 55'C. You can use up to 1.55v 24/7 safely.
