Xbox 360 on Acer S211HL via VGA

I'm having some picture problems when connecting my Xbox 360 to my monitor.

When entering the dashboard and while in game (pretty much at all times), there are about 4 or 5 faint, vertical lines on the left side of my screen that run from the very top of the screen to the very bottom. Another thing I've noticed is that when running the Battlefield 3 beta, the ends of the DICE and Frostbite logo kind of mirror repeat. I don't really know how to explain the last part but... yeah.

I have this problem on all resolutions that can be selected from the Xbox, though 1920x1080 is the correct resolution for my setup. I've never had this problem on a non-LED monitor (not sure if that is the issue but at this point it's all I have for comparison). The VGA cable connecting the Xbox to the Acer isn't an official Microsoft adapter (again, I doubt this matters).

This actually happened on the LED monitor I had before this one. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and what can be done to resolve it. This isn't a MAJOR issue because the picture is still fantastic but it's still pretty unacceptable that they are there in the first place.

vga is an old analog signal all the new stuff uses digital signals so get your self a dvi/hdmi cable or adapter and that should clear up your issues

easiest is prob get a dvi to hdmi adapter and run the hdmi cable into it then plug it into a dvi slot on your pc

Good luck hope i helped

This was my primary thought. The only thing that annoys me about doing that is I only have a DVI and VGA port on my monitor and my PC is connected to the DVI. It would be irritating to switch back and forth every time I want to use either or, as opposed to just hitting a bottom on my monitor and switching inputs. At this point, the monitor I have is going to be around for a while unless I manage to find a good one on Black Friday. I wish the monitor had two DVI ports!

I was thinking about returning the monitor to Newegg anyway because it arrived with one dead pixel and a black speck/splotch on the inner screen.
