Corsair H100 in an Antec 300 Case

Thread Starter
I'm interested in getting a Corsair H100, but I'm not sure if it'll fit inside an Antec 300 case? And where I'd need to put it if it did?

Apologies if this is a dumb question. I'm new to this stuff.

Ah, okay. Bummer. Cheers for letting me know, though.

Any recommendations as an alternative?

With modding: of course
Without modding: Maybe the front? The tubing probably wouldn't be long enough though. So without modding, probably not.

Are you talking alternative cooler or an alternate way of using the H100?

I was suggesting an alternative product to that which might fit instead.

However, I'm fairly adventurous, so modding sounds like a cool solution. Would these modding solutions involve me cutting a hole in the top of my case?

Modding I'd imagine is just expanding the top with a dremel and drilling the appropriate mounting holes. I'm sure you can find inspiration from the Case Mods section.

An alternative is the H80, and smaller air-cooled heatsinks.

If you do go for the H80, just please don't make things hard for yourself and mount the cooler block first, then the radiator. Trying to screw the block into place with the radiator sitting almost directly on top of it was chewing a lot of space to work in.

Thankfully, I was already going to swap graphics card, so I could get some room from below to be able to reach what I was working with.

it's weird you've asked this because I have recently just done a quick case mod to fit a h100 in my antec 300. click here to view the finished piece. wasn't difficult at all...
