Boot Device LED Asus Crosshair V

hi there iam haveing a problem whereas in i just brought a crosshair v and now i got everything hooked up ive turned it on but it keeps resarting itself when it gets to the windows 7 splash logo and i get the Boot Device Led light up red

when i put the hdd in my old pc it work and everything boots up fine but then i have it hooked to the Crosshair v it keep restarting at the splash screen i have tried to install win 7 again but it gives me a blue screen when it starts to install windows

and by the way i have just took the hdd drive from my old pc which has win7 installed and just hooked it up to the new motherboard

System spec:
Asus Crosshair v 990fx
AMD Atholn II x3 440 (using it as temp till BD comes)
4gb xm3 ram 1333mhz
msi 6870 hawk
corisar 650watt psu
hyper 212 plus cooler
samsung f3 1tb hdd

windows 7 isn't exactly plug and play. also you might want to check your memory settings as well, try setting the stock memory profile in the bios, and reformatting the drive before you install windows 7. most of the time when you switch to a new motherboard you'll need to reformat.
