Need help choosing a PSU

Thread Starter
Hi y'all. So I need helping choosing a good reliable PSU for my system.

Intel i5 2500k
GTX 560 Ti
Asus P8H67-V B3 Intel H67 LGA1155
Kingston HyperX 8 GB 1600mhz (2x4 GB)
1x 1TB 7200rmp and 1x 150gb 7200rmp
1x Samsung SH-S223C/RSMS DVDRW 22X Retail S-ATA
and the case is Thermaltake Element G

I want the PSU to have enough power so i have the option to get another
gtx 560 later on and I also wanna be able to overclock them both and also to clock the i5, and would also like to have the option of adding another 8gb RAM, so what kind of an PSU would i need so that i wouldn't have to buy a new one when I upgrade my system?

Thanks in advance.

Hey, first off, are you talking about the 560 or the 560 ti?

Based on what I've picked up around here, I would suggest a 650 watt. I personally have the HX-650, which is a fantastic unit at a good price.

Arguably the best 650w on the market;

That's all you need for SLI 560's + OC

You're still good to go with a quality 650w then. Best being Corsair, Seasonic (as already mentioned - the best in fact) and the Antecs. Grab one of them and you're good to go

I've been thinking about the Corsair GS700W. would that be good enough to run the whole system i explained earlier? (overclocked GTX 560 Ti SLI, overclocked i5, 16gb 1600mhz RAM, probably even another HDD) ?

If it helps from a financial point of view, the TX650 V2 can be had for $70 with promo code EMCJKKF59, and $59.99 after the rebate.
